In this episode, the gang get back together and re-discover how to do a podcast. Our first segment is Shameless Self-Promotion, where Cole talks about the current play he is in: Shoggoths on the Veldt; Ben talks about the play he was in which just closed: The Ballad of Karla Fox; Nicole talks about the Comics Dungeon event Ladies Night (which we’ll talk more about next week); and Chris mentions the Valiant title “Wrath of the Eternal Warrior,” with which the Dungeon and a couple other stores have a shared exclusive cover.
Other news discussed is the abrupt closing after two weeks of Jem and the Holograms; Frank Miller isn’t actually writing The Dark Knight III; DC is shocked there’s a demand for a Super Girl comic after the successful launch of the CBS TV show; the Wasp is set to return to Marvel in the All New All Different Wolverine. We also talk about the new trailers for The Force Awakens and Jessica Jones.
During book report, Cole mentions the recently self-published title “Octobriana: The Underground History” by John A. Short. Not only is Octobriana a topic of interest for Cole, but The Panel Jumper also produced an episode called Iron Curtain Maiden, which gets a mention in the book.
